Tareen Dermatology hosts 4th annual Careers in Medicine night– inspiring young women and girls to dream big

Roseville, Minn. – For the fourth consecutive year, Tareen Dermatology will host the Careers in Medicine night on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Roseville clinic, located at 2720 Fairview Avenue N, Suite 200. Young women ages 12-19 will have a chance to personally meet and interact with healthcare professionals, learn about their areas of expertise, and ask them questions about the paths that led to their careers.

“This night is all about possibility,” says Dr. Mohiba Tareen, founder and medical director of Tareen Dermatology. “Women now make up over half of U.S. medical school students, yet are still underrepresented in many specialties. We want local girls to see themselves in white coats, scrubs, and leadership roles. We’re here to spark curiosity—and confidence.”

The Careers in Medicine night will feature a variety of activities, including live demonstrations, interactive stations, delicious food, and door prizes. Featured in this year’s event is a fun activity-led demonstration by our event sponsor, Johnson & Johnson. They’ll be bringing a hands-on suturing demo that gives participants a chance to try their skills.

This year’s activities include:

  • Fast-paced medical trivia
  • Pipetting challenge
  • Diagnosing skin conditions from real tissue slides
  • Exploring UV therapy with lifelike mannequin demos
  • Suturing workshop with Johnson & Johnson
  • Food, door prizes and more

In addition to the event, Tareen Dermatology is proud to announce a scholarship program for high school juniors and seniors, providing $1,000 to support their educational journey. This initiative underscores its commitment to fostering the future of women in medicine.
