Patient Code Of Conduct

At Tareen Dermatology, we are committed to delivering excellent care to every patient. We also believe that all patients and visitors are entitled to respectful communication when interacting with our employees.  Our goal is to promote a safe and welcome environment for everyone- patients, employees and providers.

We reserve the right to request that care be established with a different clinic (discharge from our practice) for the following behavior by patients and their families, friends, caregivers and acquaintances:

1. Violation of practice policies, including but not limited to:
   1. Late Arrival, No Show and Cancellation Policy.
   2. Financial Policy.
2. Inappropriate behavior including but not limited to:
   1. Disruptive, derogatory, threatening or aggressive speech and behavior.
   2. Recording, filming or taking photographs within the clinical or non-clinical areas which may capture staff or other patients.
   3. Rude speech, yelling, name-calling.
   4. Abuse of Billing staff.
   5. Discriminatory speech or behavior that may be humiliating, racist, harassing or sexual in nature.
   6. Intentional omission of medical history and medications.
   7. Intimidation, Frightening, Deceptive behavior, lying.
   8. Having weapons on their person in our clinic, including firearms, knives, blades, chemicals, etc.
3. Failure to follow the care team’s treatment plan.
4. Refusal to sign Consent Forms and provide valid identification.
5. Verbal or written requests to change coding or diagnoses or commit insurance fraud.
6. Making verbal or written false statements (slander or libel) about Tareen Dermatology.

We reserve the right to refuse service and/or remove individuals from our sites at any time using law enforcement if necessary.
