What is Keralase?

Keralase is a laser treatment designed specifically for hair growth, and can both increase the number of hairs as well as the thickness of the individual hair. Keralase treatments utilize the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra laser to create microchannels in the scalp. A growth factor serum is then massaged into these microchannels to stimulate hair growth.

How long will the appointment take?

Our Keralase appointments are 30 minutes in length. The appointment consists of specifying the exact treatment location, utilizing the laser treatment to create microchannels, and a vigorous scalp massage of the growth factor serum into the scalp. You will leave with slightly damp hair. There is very minimal discomfort during the treatment.

What is the recommended treatment course?

We typically recommend a series of 6 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks a part. You will start to see results as soon as 2-4 weeks, with full results varying anywhere from 2-12 weeks after your final treatment. Additional treatments can be performed after the series as a maintenance option.

Patient Testimonials

“I was suffering from male patterned hair loss that started in my late twenties and wanted to get ahead of it. I have been doing Keralase laser treatments and saw awesome results in just 6 treatments. I am more confident and happy and would highly recommend having this quick and easy treatment done”. – Casey

How can I prepare for my Keralase treatment?

We recommend the following prior to each treatment:

  • Shower the night before your treatment with plain shampoo. Do not use any hair products including conditioner, gel, mousse, etc. It is important that your hair is both clean and dry for your treatment, or you will not be able to proceed. Arriving with product or wet hair risks singeing the hair, and therefore we will not proceed with treatment.
  • Limit strong, direct sun exposure one week prior to treatment.
  • Discontinue the use of topical steroids to the scalp one week prior to treatment, and throughout the course of your series of 6 treatments. Topical steroids can include Betamethasone, Clobetasol, Cordran, or Flurandrenolide in any formulation.
  • You may continue the use of the following hair loss medications/topicals you may be using: vitamins and supplements, Spironolactone, Finasteride and Minoxidil.
