About Our Program
Each year, Tareen Dermatology offers training, mentorship, and guidance to a motivated group of pre-med and pre-pa students through our Gap Year Program. This program allows Pre-Med or Pre-PA students to gain hands-on clinical experience. Our assistants help with surgeries and scribing while being mentored and guided by some of Minnesota’s top board-certified dermatologists and physician assistants.
Graduates of the program have over a 90% acceptance rate to PA/Med school. We are proud to be able to put our assistants one step ahead of the game!
With six locations in Roseville, Maplewood, Faribault, Monticello, Eagan, MN, and Hudson, WI, we are a growing practice looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our team!
Why We Love Our Program
Watch this quick summary video of our Gap Year students in action at Tareen Dermatology. Many of our Gap Year graduates enter medical school or physician assistant school feeling better prepared than their peers due to the hands-on experience they gain through our program.
Current Tareen Dermatology employees and Gap Year Program participants enrolling in St. Kate’s online and hybrid certificate, bachelor’s, and master’s programs will receive a special scholarship, reducing tuition costs by 10%.
Eligible programs include a variety of online and hybrid degree and certificate programs in a variety of health disciplines — Physical Therapist Assistant, Nursing, Public Health, Community Health Worker, Healthcare Management, Social Work, Radiography, Holistic Health Studies — as well as Business, Leadership, Psychology, Liberal Studies, Early Childhood Education and other areas.
