At Tareen Dermatology, supporting our communities across Minnesota and Wisconsin is at the heart of our mission. Through charitable partnerships, volunteer work, and outreach events, we strive to make a lasting difference.
We are proud to support many organizations throughout the year. Our philanthropic initiatives continue to grow and expand, and are regularly assessed based on the needs of the communities we serve. This commitment reflects our dedication to making a meaningful impact and enhancing healthcare access for all.

Mission Jamaica
In partnership with Mission Jamaica, members of our senior medical assistants led by Dr. Tareen and her family of physicians provided free medical and dermatology care to nearly 300 patients, including those at Westhaven Children’s Home for children with disabilities. We also distributed thousands of prescriptions at no cost, helping meet critical health needs in underserved communities.
Every year, we proudly support a range of local, national, and international causes. From healthcare to education to family support, we’re committed to making a real impact.

Donation Drives
School Supplies: Between our staff and patients, we collect school supply packs in support of children in need. Most recently, we collected over 200 packs in support of the United Way Minneapolis.
Toys: Across our clinics, we collect toys for children in need in suppport of trusted partners like Toys for Tots KARE 11 and the Salvation Army’s Stuff the Sleigh initiative.
Coats: We collected over 100 coats to support Salvation Army’s annual coat drive, keeping those in need warm.
Food: Each spring, we collect foot to support local food shelves including Open Door Pantry in Eagan, MN.

Youth Mentorship
Careers in Medicine: This annual summer event empowers young girls to explore careers in healthcare through mentorship, hands-on learning, and scholarships. Dr. Tareen holds this program especially close to her heart – once a young girl herself with a dream of becoming a physician, she’s passionate about inspiring the next generation to believe in their potential.

Protecting Firefighters
In 2024, we started a new initiative of offering skin cancer screenings to local firefighters in partnership with local fire departments, including Brooklyn Center and Long Lake, detecting over 20 cancers and pre-cancers. All no-show fees that we received in 2024 were also donated to support local first responders.

Blood Drives
Our 2024 Veterans Day blood drive marked the first in partnership with the American Red Cross. Another was hosted at our Eagan clinic in February 2025. Thanks to our generous patients and staff, we’ve helped the Red Cross collect over 30 units of life-saving blood to help with the ongoing blood shortage.

Ramadan Giving
Each year during the month of Ramadan, Dr. Tareen donates proceeds from Saturday cosmetic filler appointments to local nonprofits, benefiting organizations like Open Door Pantry, Roseville Area Schools, Children’s Surgery International, and Light of Hope Cancer Foundation.

Supporting Children
Each fall, our team is invited to come together to make over 25 tie blankets in support of My Very Own Bed, an organization that provides beds and bedding for children from families who recently secured stable housing.
Supporting Local Causes
Our No Show Fee policy not only helps us manage our schedule, but also directly benefits our community. When a scheduled appointment is missed without prior notice, the fee allows us to allocate those resources to community health initiatives. These funds support free skin screenings and educational workshops for underserved populations, ensuring everyone has access to vital dermatologic care.
